You can't be fast paced with a baby. We went to the zoo today and discovered that Lyla didn't much feel like sitting in the stroller as we pushed her around. In retrospect, thank goodness. We were at the Como Zoo for the first time in years; we had forgotten how depressing it is with the giraffes wandering around the dirt field under the fake tree adjacent to the brick building--and other atrocities.

Anyway, Lyla would have none of it, so we spread out a blanket on a patch of grass surrounded by walking paths and created our own exhibit.





Step right up and see the human family, ladies and gentlemen. Just don't get between the parents and their cub.
